How a commission works
From the first conversation to a full shelf, usually ten to fourteen weeks.
Talk it through
Bring your menu, your room and a plate you love. We sketch shapes and sizes together.
Glaze tests
Twelve test tiles in two firings, so you see the colour on your table, in your light.
A sample setting
One of each piece to cook with and plate on for a week. We change what needs changing.
Making
Thrown, trimmed and fired in batches. We send photos from the wheel and the kiln.
Delivered
Packed and driven over by us within 60 miles. The recipe stays on file for repeats.
Pay a deposit
A deposit starts the glaze tests; it comes off the final invoice.

Questions about commissions
Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?
Yes. Everything is fired to 1,280°C, which makes the clay as hard as glass, and every glaze is tested food safe.
What if a plate breaks?
Order one or a dozen whenever you like. We keep the clay, the glaze recipe and the shape on file.
Will every plate look the same?
The same size and glaze, but each one thrown by hand, so the speckle and the rim will vary a little. That's the point.
Do you deliver outside the county?
Yes, by pallet courier anywhere in the UK, or we drive it over ourselves within 60 miles.
