Saturdays at 10:00 and 14:00

The taster is how most of our regulars started. We show you how to wedge the clay and centre it, and then you get your hands on the wheel straight away, with Elin or one of the studio potters beside you.

Centring takes a while to click, which is half the fun. By the second hour most people are pulling up walls and choosing a glaze.

What you'll make

  • One or two bowls or cups
  • Your choice of three glazes

What's included

  • Clay, aprons and tools
  • Glazing and two firings
  • Tea, coffee and cake

Questions

Will I really make something?

Yes. Everyone leaves with at least one piece on the drying shelf, and most with two.

Can I come on my own?

Most people do. There's a wheel each, so you won't be paired with a stranger.

Pieces, classes, opening hours and commissions

Hello! Ask me about a piece in the shop, which class suits you, when the studio is open or how commissions work.
