A small, heavy-bottomed bowl in deep brown-black tenmoku that turns rust-orange where the glaze runs thin over the throwing rings.

Tenmoku is one of the oldest stoneware glazes there is: an iron glaze that goes almost black where it’s thick and breaks to rust wherever it thins, so the ridges of the throwing rings come out in orange.

The foot is left raw and trimmed with a single turn of the tool, so it sits steady in the hand.
